Mfon Cyrus-David

He (Christ) came to set the captives free

Dr. Mfon Cyrus-David was born in 1964 in Champaign, Illinois to Samuel and Clevy who were students in the United States. He returned with his parents to Nigeria where he was raised to achieve his childhood dream of becoming a physician. He came to know the Lord in 1977 through a friend, but it was 8 years later, while at the medical school that he caught the revival fire and discovered that God had laid His hand on him for a unique purpose. There, he also met his beloved wife—Faith, they got married in 1990 and are blessed with four daughters.

He rapidly grew in zeal and knowledge to become a leader and served in various positions in the Nigerian Fellowship of Evangelical Students (NIFES), a branch of the International Fellowship of Evangelical students (IFES) which is a variant of the Intervarsity Christian Fellowship. As a bible teacher and a public speaker, he has carried the message of restoration of the worship of God in Spirit and truth to various churches, student groups, chapters of the Full Gospel Business Men Fellowship International in southern Nigeria.

He now resides in the United States, where he works as a physician scientist and faculty in the Department of Medicine, of the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston Texas. He is an independent investigator whose research focus is to reduce the risk and burden of breast and prostate cancers in high risk populations. He continues to teach on church growth issues in general, and particularly on the content and conduct of successful Christian marriages in Bible classes, public workshops and seminars. He is the author of the monthly True Worship Prayer Newsletters, which are currently received by believers in various parts of the world.

His passion is to see coming out of the Church, the long awaited sons and daughters of God that will worship God in Spirit and in truth, teach principalities and powers of darkness the multi-facetted wisdom of God, and be instruments of deliverance to others in this and future generations.

"Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever." (Psalm 125:1)
The Lord recently blessed us with sweet and feisty Precious Cyrus-David.
